How to find Comrade Hostel:
Arrive to Kitay-Gorod metro station at the interception of purple (#7) and orange (#6) lines of Moscow metro. Take your exit to Maroseyka Street (“улица Маросейка”). Once you exit out of metro doors into underground passage, turn right and walk straight to the very end of the passage, then take the stairs to your left. You are on Maroseyka Street. Follow this street for about 250 meters. After you pass McDonalds, enter the second archway to your left. You will find yourself in a courtyard of building 11 of Maroseyka Street. Turn left and follow the yellow wall of the building for 15 meters to discover entrance to Comrade Hostel right in front of you. There you should call the intercom to reception (administrator answers 24/7), enter and ascend to the 3rd floor. Our historic building does not have an elevator, so if you need an assistance with your luggage, do not hesitate to ask the administrator for help.
How to get from Domodedovo, Sheremetievo or Vnukovo Airports:
- By Comrade Hostel transfer (1600 rubles) or by city Taxi (average price is about 2000 rubles). The most comfortable, yet the most expensive transport.
The whole journey will take 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic.
Just say to the driver our address, which is Maroseyka, building 11. He will need to go to the courtyard on Maroseyka Street through the second archway after McDonalds.
Note! Beware of unofficial taxis in airports and throughout the city. Make sure to negotiate on a fixed price before you get into the taxi car.
- Aeroexpress + Metro. The most reasonable way to travel from the airport.
450 rubles for the Aeroexpress bus if you buy the ticket in the airport, or 400 rubles if you buy it on Aeroexpress web-site + 50 rubles for the metro ticket. The journey on an Aeroexpress bus will not take more than 40-50 minutes. Aeroexpress is running every day starting 5 a.m. until midnight, every 35 minutes.
As soon as you reach Paveletskaya metro station from Aeroexpress, take the green line #2 and go till Tretyakovskaya (the next station from Paveletskaya) and then change the line to the orange line #6 (not the yellow one, which is #8!) and go to Kitay-Gorod station.
After you got to the Belorusskaya metro station, you need to go by metro till Tverskaya station, and then change the line to the purple one (line #7) onto Pushkinskaya station. Then you go straight till the Kitay-Gorod metro station.
The Aeroexpress from this airport will take you to the Kievskaya metro station. You should choose the ring line and go one station till Krasnopresnenskaya station. There you change the line to the purple line #7 onto Barrikadnaya station and go till Kitay Gorod metro station.
Note! The Metro is open from 5:30 a.m - 1:00 a.m. Station entrances are closing at 1:00 a.m., although trains are running approximately until 1:30 a.m.
- Metro + Shuttle-bus. This variant is the cheapest one (50 rubles for one ticket for the metro + 100 or 120 rubles for the shuttle bus) But this is not the most comfortable way. The shuttle-bus will take you from the airport to the nearest metro station.
Shuttle bus #308 will take you to metro station Domodedovskaya on the green line (line #2). Follow green line towards center till station Novokuznetskaya, switch to orange line #6 (not the yellow one, which is #8!) and go to Kitay-Gorod station.
Shuttle Bus #851 will take you to metro station Rechnoy Vokzal on the green line (line #2). Follow the green line till Tverskaya station, and then change the line to the purple line (line #7) - Pushkinskaya station. Then you go straight till the Kitay-Gorod metro station.
